Papagiannis Winery

Nestled in the historic land of Attica—blessed by Dionysus and renowned for its 4,000-year-old winemaking tradition—the Papagiannis family has been cultivating vineyards and producing wine for five generations.

Our journey began in 1890 when our great-grandfather established vineyards in the Mesogia region. At our family estate in Paiania, a wine press carved from Pendelikon marble bore the date 1902, a testament to our enduring heritage. In 1990, a new chapter unfolded as we relocated our winery to Pallini, modernizing our facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and highly skilled personnel. This transition marked the beginning of our bottled wine production, setting new standards of quality and innovation.

Today, under the leadership of Vasilis Papagiannis and his family, we remain dedicated to preserving Attica’s rich winemaking traditions. With a deep respect for the land and a commitment to excellence, we craft wines that authentically reflect the unique character of the region’s vineyards and grape varieties.
